There were a number of big games played under wet conditions on Thursday. Penfield avenged an earlier loss to Fairport in a Monroe County game and Penn Yan used two over time periods to beat Canandaigua in Finger Lakes play. Schroeder was a one goal winner against Rush Henrietta and HFL won a big Class B win against Brighton.

# 1639  Tuesday: Semi Finals

Penn Yan and Honeoye Falls-Lima are going to the New York State Tournament as a result of tonight's wins in the semi final round at Irondequoit. Penn Yan earned the trip with a 12-6 win over #2 seeded Waterloo and HF-L earned their first trip to the States with a 13-7 win over Geneva. In the Class A semi finals, the top two seeds won as Penfield defeated Schroeder 15-9 and Canandaigua won their game over Fairport 9-5.e had 14 saves for HF-L.

Because of the hospitality of Irondequoit High School and Nazareth College, seven games were played on synthetic turf today that probably would not have been played on home field grass. There were lots of man-up opportunities at Livonia as Victor beat the Bulldogs 11-8. Victor took a 4-0 lead in the first quarter and extended the score to 7-2 at the half-time break. Livonia came back in the second half outscoring the Blue Devils 6-4. Victor had five man up goals on five tries including all three goals in the last quarter.
